Last week we were in Naivasha for some very excited children's first school trip, and for most of them first night away from home!

We had a great time and were look after really well by the excellent and kind staff at Elsamere Field Study Center.

Off to Sagana..!

Off to Sagana...!

Last week we ran a trip with Year 4 students (9 year olds)  from Nairobi Academy Prep School to Savage Wilderness, Sagana.

Over the three days, many adventures were had by all during activities including hiking, kayaking, climbing and zip lining.

First River Board descent of the Tana River..!

First River Board descent of the Tana River...!

The last 5 days have been busy with multiple types of boats in use on Kenyan Rivers:)

The most notable was Infinity Outdoors guiding Asaf Arad on the first River Board descent of the commercially operated section of the Tana River, here in Kenya.

As the authorized dealers for Fluid kayaks here in Kenya, we hooked Asaf up with a nice new Anvil River board for his adventure.

The trip was an overwhelming success with Asaf running all the main lines successfully (but saving The Mission for another day;)) 

We even found time to take Asaf on his first ever whitewater kayak trip down the Thiba River:)

school club's first river trip...

This weekend saw the first ever river trips by a bunch of new kayakers in Kenya!

The group came from Braeburn Garden Estate International School here in Nairobi, and consisted of Mads from Year 9, Deepshika from Year 10 and Blanes and Zubair from Year 12.

We all had a fantastic time with good levels and lots of sunshine! The guys stepped up to the challenge and paddled really well after only ever kayaking in a swimming pool. Check out the photo's...

Off to the beach!

Last week was spent down at the Kenyan Coastal resort of Watamu. We headed down with 40 (!) Year 6 (10/11 years old) students from Braeburn Garden Estate International School in Nairobi.

The week went super well with lot's of learning and much fun / ice-cream had by all! Check out some pictures of the trip...

Happy to arrive... the first group had been up since 4am!

The first stop on day 1 were the amazing Swahili ruins at Gedi

We stopped off at the Local Ocean Trust's Turtle project  & rescue center

As well as the Bio-Ken Snake Farm, where these lucky / terrified guys got to hold a baby Python

Some great sand sculptures were made by the group

Before we headed out onto the reef at low tide with the girls from the Local Ocean Trust  for some rock pooling

Ben from Tribe Water Sports gave a safety briefing before hitting the water
